Residential Asbestos Removal
The "Sampling" Process

The 'sampling' process is always completed in a manner that ensures a minimum disturbance of the material from which the 'sample' is being taken.
Where disturbance has occurred, the surface is repaired and sealed, and the surrounding area vacuumed using an industry approved Type "H" vacuum to minimise the risk of exposure to any released asbestos fibres caused by the extraction of the material sample.

Identification of the asbestos hazards, and the provision of SASS prepared material 'algorithms' will enable our customers to prepare an effective Management Plan that is based on the degree of risk to health & ensure your compliance with current Regulations.

In the majority of cases, having identified the presence of asbestos and recording its Type, Location and Condition, if it is expected that no future disturbance of the material will occur, it will usually be recommended that the material is left intact rather than the option of removal. If removal is the only viable option, or it is our customers desired option, then we will provide our customers with the most cost effective solution to so.

SASS will always remain totally independent, thereby ensuring that our customers always receive an unbiased, independent survey and report.

All 'Surveying' and 'Sampling' projects undertaken by SASS are carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of MDH 100 ; ( The Method for Determining Hazardous Substances) whilst 'keeping abreast' with the most recent health and safety guidance issued by the Health and Safety Executive and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.

Examples of our reports will be provided during the course of any “quotation” visit that you may request. Customer “Testimonials” will also be provided upon request. (also to be posted on our website at a later date)
